ahh yes... I'm supposed to blog about this.. haha.. that day the grp of us specifically went to paya lebar cos Fredy said the Bibimbap there was nice.. so off we went.. and it was really nice.. true to his word.. sad I didn't take a picture of it, it was in this stone(?) bowl and the rice is constantly heated so it will never get cold! yummy of cos.. and we had dessert too. However the dessert was not as appetizing..
we had a little shop at NTUC where we bought supper (cup noodles, instand soup, blah). after that we were kinda bored and decided to go try the famous Chou Tou Fu (CTF) at Geylang. and well, I can't really say it was up to my expectations.. according to Jason, the 'smell' that we experienced was only 1% of the smell he experienced in Hong Kong, AND, our smell was when the plates were in front of us while his smell was when he was still one street away from the stall selling the CTF. WOW.. can't wait to try Hong Kong's one.. perhaps they weren't allowed to let the smell out of their shop since Singapore is such a FINE country where its citizens indulge themselves in complaints all day long. guess maybe they had no choice.
lol. the famous CTF!!! (or not..)
well that's about it.. except for one more thing.. SBS... can they be more specific in the Information plates, those that they hang beside the front door of the bus so people can see the destination that the bus is headed too instead of asking the bus driver everytime.. SO.. i was waiting for bus 70 at the bus stop, from what I know 70 has two types, one that loops at shenton way and one doesn't.. SO.. the first bus came and I missed it, but I managed to glimpse that the plate read YIO CHU KANG. which was the destination I was heading for.. the second bus came and it read YIO CHU KANG (Loop at shenton way). of coz i was puzzled so I didn't take it.. the third one came and it read YIO CHU KANG.. with my doubts, I went up to ask the driver first and he told he it will loop at Shenton way, WTF?? make ur plates clear la toothead.. u almost made me take a 1hr ride where I could have taken a 15min ride..
I got down and felt like a total fool cos I waited like 45mins for nothing (the 3 buses came at 15min intervals). thk god their bus was even longer than mine, they only missed one and had to wait 30mins, I got up with them on their bus to Boon Keng and got a cab back from there.. phew.. but the worst was chris, he waited with us for close to one hour but not a single bus of his came, in the end he had to take an mrt back after waiting for so long.. lol poor guy.. the bus hates u or wat?? lol.
