another class outing today!! or rather it was arranged by the school la.. but nevertherless we went as a class. the trip was to The Nanos at Biopolis about an intro on bioengineering and nanotechnology.

first we had a series of talks by various researchers based at the IBN (Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology) as well as some short videos. then its on to the interesting parts which was the lab tour! and I wondered how on earth they allowed primary students to participate (well according to a classmate they were secondary school students) however they looked to puny to be sec sch students to me.

anyway honestly I DON'T LIKE KIDS. don't ask me why cos I can't tell you anyway.. they just make me feel uncomfortable.. in simpler words, they irritate me.. how they irritate me I also can't tell. they just do so. well unfortunately our groups consisted of the group of us of coz (excluding yumei xiaohui eeren and soekhui cos they were sitting on the third row and hence got shifted to another group) and those pesky kids.. well the lab tours were still fun anyways.. and seeing all the cool inventions and high tech equipment were as fascinating as other times. I specially enjoyed the laser microscopy. so cool.

and so ended the tour and we all went off to Adam Road again!! yay!! had the nice nice nice nasi lemak again and kambing soup!!! WOW... *burrrrrp* OH YA.. and Milo Dinosaur too.. WOOO!! its makes me high.. hahahaha.. imagine milo that will never get diluted no matter how the ice melts but instead gets thicker!! heehee and I da pao one packet back for mother too.. shall steal a few mouths later..

and now.. its off to immuno prac report.. that immunocytochemistry thingy.. basically its just drawing out the ELISA diagram according to rayson. well let's hope its really as easy as that.

~Announcement~
For those interested in "The Chronicles of Hao Gong Ming" written by various peeps of MB0406 stay tuned cos the novel will soon be released in english and chinese format for the benefit of all!! haha... and so I leave everyone with the SPELL of the day which can be used to destroy your most hated enemies. heehee..

many good things happened today I suppose.. first there was the visit to Schering-Plough the pharmaceutical company. and BECAUSE OF THAT.. we get to skip you-know-who's lecture (I'm using you-know-who now because I hate him just as much as harry potter hates voldermort). wonderful rite!! I would do almost anything to miss his lecture legally.

but before that we went for a short session of pool.. and luck shines on me again.. of the 3 matches I played I won all 3!! yes by luck of coz. I am no pro pool player.. and also we reached the highest score ever on the photo hunt game! so cool.

we were just in time for the shuttle bus to Schering-Plough which is ALL THE WAY in Tuas.. (the shuttle bus was from Singapore Poly) so you can imagine how long the bus ride took.. damn.. half of us were alseep when we reached there..

the plant can only be described as state-of-the-art.. almost everything is computed and automated in there.. the robotic arms and machinery were all too cool. and we had the first hand experience of wrapping ourselves up like christmas presents. we had labcoats, plastic caps and TWO layers of shoe covers. and the second layer had to be wore in a seperate room where we set on this bench facing one side and put on the cover and immediately turn over to the other side of the bench or otherwise the CLEAN side.. and also there were air-lock chambers to almost every room except the offices.. so cooool again.. and we were able to go into one of the Grade C labs!! grade A and B labs were really stringent.. SO MANY THINGS TO WEAR the guy said it takes about 15mins to get all the appropriate attire on..

after that we took the bus provided to Boon Lay Mrt and we sorta hanged around jurong point for an hour or so. rayson went to play arcade and the rest of us watched movies at Harvey Norman. then we took 157 from boon lay to adam's road (arden's suggestion). YES HIS SUGGESTION. guess what? the bus ride took an hour.. again we were all practically half bored to death on the bus.. two extremely long bus rides in one day.. but there was no regret when we got to adam road's food centre.

The nasi lemak is GODLIKE.
The Chicken Wing is BEYOND GODLIKE.
The Chili is some HOLY SHIT.
and it only costs $3!! the person behind me ordered 10packets to be taken-away.. poor rayson was behind that man so he had to wait like shyt..

and the mutton soup is also a must try.. the flavour is great and the mutton pieces are tender and juicy..
it was fun cos we talked for very long until about 9.15 before we left.. I would love to go there again soon.. muahahaha..
till then. CHEERS!!

yep. I'm once step closer to obtaining my driving liscense cos I passed the Basic Theory Test today!! wonderful.. was so stressed out by the fact that I HAD TOTALLY NO IDEA that I had to get a score of 45/50 TO PASS.

luckily the last minute mugging last night paid off and I passed! well someone else wasn't so lucky.. I swore not to mention names.. but it already seems to me like the whole world knows..

after checking results for medical micro abt half the class went over to Richard's office to have more info on attachment matters.. and I found out that the attachment venue I had wanted to go only accepts 2 students per round.. I was like OmGwTfBbQ.. 2!!! and they require interviews too.. *stares into blankness*

no more hope for me I guess.. why? well If I were the interviewer I would surely screen the student's academic results.. which sadly I am not confident of..

anyway.. off to protein tech report now... gotta type out the summary of theory and answer the questions by tonite and fill in the results tomorrow morning before handing it straight to michael... can't he like give us the weekend to finish it?? haiz...

I can't believe how unreasonable certain lecturer(s) can be. just because some people were late for a lesson, a list of all those people late were given to Jay... and some were NOT late technically.. school rules state the student is only late 10mins after the start of the lesson according to the timetable. SO.. unless he is encouraging us to break school rules I don't see the reason why those people who came in before the 10mins grace had to be reprimanded.

ALSO.. for goodness sake.. NOT ALL students have the priviledge of having their own personal transports to school. NOR DO THEY HAF THE ABILITY to command public transport as to when the buses or mrts arrive at a time of their convenience. unless YOU are capable of telling SBS and SMRT to send in a train at the station as soon A student steps onto the platform or send a bus as soon as a student is at the bus stop, you should just STFU and continue teaching your lesson. BEING UNREASONABLE IS NOT PART OF MORAL ETHICS as this is what I recalled how you said of our class as being deprived of moral ethics or 'lack of culture'.

In simple words, somethings are better left alone when it doesn't concern you and that includes the wearing of lanyards. WE ARE NOT DOGS and we do not need tags to show who we are. as a teacher I think it is your duty to spend some effort in knowing your students better. I don't call knowing your students better when you have to recognise them by these ridiculous tags that you force us to wear. well unless you are really so very miserably poor you need those $1 fines to get decent meals.

enough abt that infuriating matter... I WATCHED HARRY POTTER ALREADY!!! with arden DY clement chris allison & josephine at yishun GV.. I'm not surprised by the main spoiler of the show which was as usual that many parts were cut off. However this is understandable cos if they were to include every detail in the book the movie would be like...... 5 hours??? or even more... BUT one thing that wasn't SO good was that even though they had to choose which scenes to include and which to not.. I feel that they have chosen the wrong scenes to include in some parts. one thing was that we didn't even get to see A SINGLE QUIDDITCH MATCH at the world quidditch cup.. damn... I juz love broomstick flying. so cool!! I better not reveal more parts or people will be calling ME the spoiler instead.

However the main redeeming factor was that the special effects and graphics are way loads better than the previous movies. guess they got a new special effects team and they're great!

oh man.. now I hope chris columbus will come back to direct the next movie.. sorcerer's stone and chamber of secrets were directed by him and they were great.. as for azkaban and goblet.. they were directed by some Mike Newell guy.. WHO THE FUCK IS MIKE NEWELL!! terrible directing laaa... you can't even choose which scene to include and which not to.. damn u... if they don't get chris columbus back for the next movie there will be a global riot by all harry potter diehard fans..

anyway.. even though its not up to my bestest expectations.. I will definitely watch it again for the sake of watching it.. already arranged 2 more shows with cousins and sec sch friends.. can't wait to watch again!!

I SHALL WILL MUST post about the movie.

~ 9:21 AM ~
here I am in the school's comp lab.. nice environment except for the presence of an idiotic person.. can't stand him laa.. gotta be one of the naggy-est guys I've ever seen.. heck.. even my grandmother's nagging can't be compared to him.. those in my class will know who I'm talking about.. not only during practicals ok.. even during lectures he's just as irritating.. complaining here complaining there... what's so nice about complaining?? AND... even a 15min lecture can be dragged to a full hour in his hands.. at this rate ng chee wei would have to step aside soon.

finally going to watch harry potter!! can't wait.. most probably we'll be watching it tomorrow evening but mite change also. cos tml we're ending lessons at 12pm.. GAWD.. can't imagine waiting 6 HOURS.. its lietrally rotting can.. well all will be confirmed by today I guess..

today's gonna be a long day lor.. all the way until 6pm.. with a 3hr break before that.. WTF!! HEEELLPP MEEEE... ... ... I shall blog again if I'm still alive by the end of today. :P

RE: My previous post.
about the Spizza. you can try the appetizer which has the white cheese on top of the tomato slices.. its simple but really good.. perhaps adding a little olive oil will make it taste better.

yes I got a new skin again. don't look so surprised la... juz thot of having a new skin for the new sem.. haha.. kinda like a good luck charm coz I'm pretty sure I'm gonna need lots of luck if I want to do well this semester.

went with cousins to serangoon gardens Spizza for dinner. food was great.. appetizer was fresh tomatoes with cheese. its literally just slices of tomatoes with cheese on top. the special thing is the cheese. its some kind of white cheese which has a very special taste and texture to it.

after that we went to another restaurant called Sticky Rice. its a place selling various rice dishes and Thai Dishes.. we had sticky rice with mango and it was NICE.. however we felt cheated over the black sticky rice with coconut milk coz it was only "Ou Zhut" and we paid like 5 bucks for a miniature bowl...

then we went to Chomp Chomp to buy Gong Gong and fried yong tau foo over to their house and watched a show called Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle. about these 2 guys travelling from night till dawn just for a fastfood meal. It's an M18 show I guess. quite funny la. after that its playing some games on their computer. juz some lame games la and we challenged each other. I had to wait for my mom to come pick me which was about 1am. after that too tired to play any games so juz went to sleep. zzz

by the way... for those who haven't tried SPIZZA (yes the name of the restaurant IS spizza) you should really go try it. I won't say ALL the pizzas there are nice.. but if you decide to try it.. you MUST try the flavour called Tiana. they have 26 different flavours of pizzas and the firet letter of each is according to the alphabet. Tiana has fresh salmon on top and a base of tomtato sauce and white cheese and finally with spinach leaves covering the surface. it's simply the best pizza I've ever tasted. I think why it tastes nice is because it is baked in a genuine wood oven. they had it specially installed. its so totally awesome. for those who can take spicy.. pour some Tabasco sauce over it and the taste is even better!

that's it for my introduction.. you won't regret trying it.. and a large sized pizza is only $19 which I think is very reasonable. Try it and the next time someone asks you to go Pizza Hut you will say: "what's Pizza Hut?"

its a very common mindset that the first week of school is always slacking and more slacking.. HELL NO.

its only day 3 of the new semester and whang bang! we're smacked in our bloody faces with three projects already. this sem a lot of stuff has changed. be it lecture venues or module schedules. trying my best to get used to this busy life again after 1.5 months of nothingness at home.

one thing I'm sad about. all the good teachers are gone!! ok I'm not sayin the current ones sux. there are still great ones like Ms Leong around. but sad to see that teachers like Dr Del and Dr New have stopped teaching. haiz...

the new modules are ok so far. some easy some like hell. hope can handle all of them. I still hope to fulfil my wish of getting an average of 3.0 by the time I graduate. at least it looks nice la.

*yawnx* tired tired tired...
off to dreamland. buaiz!

well well well... time flies they say...

last night of holidays already.. eh technically it is already the 7th so I would have to say the holidays are actually over.

hurray!! or boohoo... nvm about that for now. bought the school books with Dy Jason and Cam on friday. luckily there wasn't really a queue when we got there. ppl started pouring in only after we left. (thk god for tat)

after that I went over to the student affairs office to collect my once-lost-but-now-is-found admin card. thk god for this one too. saves me the money for getting a replacement. luckily I dragged in deciding to get a replacement when I lost it on the last day of school cos they only called me likeee 3 weeks after the holidays began.. which means either my lanyard had been lying somewhere undiscovered in school for 3 weeks or they found it but decided only to call me 3 weeks later.

then me Dy and Jason headed over to AMK for lunch while Cam went off to fren's hse.. we decided to eat at pizza hut. yay! like the new pizza hut at AMK cos its newly renovated and the ambience is kinda nice. Dy had a personal pan pizza while me n jason had pasta..

we chatted for a while before we went home. and then its back to more gaming while I still can. I've taken some quick glances at the notes and believe me, you would think ancient egypt hierylographics are kindargarden ABC when you're done reading the notes..

no more time for slacking this semester. gotta buck buck buck up! I am already pretty pleased with my previous sem's results. and I do hope to continue improving myself. Hope everyone does too.
