just read an (un)interesting article today about blogs again. it seems to be the hot topic now huh. the article was about a teacher from a top school visiting a student's blog and discovering that she had been 'defamed', resulting in the student being suspended from school. Another teacher also confessed to the reporter that she frequently searches online for her name to see whether she has been in anyway 'defamed' as well in any of her students' blogs.

hello... For Your Information. a blog is a personal diary.
yes. they are posted online and can be viewed by the public. but I am sure whoever visits the blog will have their own sense of judgement as to whether they will take the comments on the blogs seriously or just treat is as pure crapping from the student just wanting to vent some frustration after a hard day's studying. For God's sake, we do not install online hypnotic programs that makes everyone believe whatever content is on the blog.

also. teachers should be able to take comments more openly. I'm sure the 'defaming terms' were merely some complaints about the teacher's methods of teaching. but instead of making a big fuss out of a mole hill by getting the student suspended. why not really accept his comments first and really check things are really according to what he says. if not. THEN punish him. don't go hoo-ha-ing around to everyone just because someone commented about you on their blog.
Believe me I know this.

and. even if the students remarks WERE really 'defaming', there is no need for suspension. won't suspension give him more time at home to blog more about what he experienced? What I think in this situation is you should give that poor guy counselling. nobody would want to defame another person for no reason. Especially a top school student.
Note that the above paragraph is only applicable for the event which the student's comments were REALLY 'defaming'.

SO.. my point exactly. if you can't take comments about yourself as a teacher then shut the hell up and go hide in a hole or something. DO NOT (I repeat) DO NOT go chomping down on your student just because he is trying to express himself because that is so totally unfair. would you like it if someone came prying into your diary and criticising you about what you write in there? no right. so think about it before you start going crazy and suspending every student until there is none left in the school. and we shall see what you have to say then.

and also to the wonderful teacher who slaves so hardworkingly in front of the computer searching online if her name has appeared in any blogs: do spend more time in researching better methods of teaching. I AM VERY SURE your students will be happy in the event should you discover a better way of educating them and allowing them the chance of getting even better grades instead of searching their blogs meticulously for your name. you should do that in their homework and be happy too should you find your name in their worksheets.

For your information, the contents in this blog does not represent the author's personal views and are not directed at anyone, anybody, anywho, anyhow, anyha, anytime, anyplace, any decade, anycentury, anymillennium, anylightyear, anydimension or whatsoever. You may treat it as crap or take it seriously end explode into a gazillion pieces.

haiz. the first two days of the holidays gone like that. It may seem slow, but everything will be over in a flash of the eye, THEN its back to school and all those muggin.

sometimes I wonder what is my purpose in life. (yes my mom do remind me of that) is it just to study and work and work and work and work and work and work... then DIE?? hope not. that's not the life I want exactly. hopefully I can live my life out to the fullest and not regret it when I'm 99 years old (if I can live that long).
Note: The above paragraph was purely my crapping due to intense boredom of being cooped up at home except for running a few errands outdoors. You can either take it as crap or take it seriously, Then take it as crap.

I'm not really sure whether I should find a job, or rather CAN find a job that allows me to take 6 days off when I'm only working one month. I guess not huh. oh well.. wat to do.. got a camp to go to in mid october. can't refuse when people asked you know..

enuf abt that. DY sent me a msg saying there is a probability that we are going to get the dried foodstuffs for the chalet tomorrow. Well it's not been confirmed yet, in fact I haven't replied too. sry ah.. read the msg but totally forgot about it until now when I was clearing my inbox. hahaz. shall confirm with them tomorrow as its already late in my concept.

Diablo excitement starts off good. but dies off just as fast.. maybe I shouldn't have got the editor from clement. its making all my characters god-like.. heh. but being god-like kills the interest even faster..

now I'm back to DotA and TD-ing. the TD-ing part is all thx to Jason (who recently changed his name to felicia according to anothe source of mine. hahaha). I didn't really enjoy TD be4 this. but started to have the interest after being forced to play with him.
no choice what. he's the host. I'm the player. I can't choose. Simple as that.

ahhhh even typing this makes me sleepy.. shall go watch TV and hopefully fall asleep. This method always works for me. although I tend to leave the TV on till the next morning and I always get nagged by my parents that I'm wasting electricity.
Yes I do admit that. but currently I can't seem to get to sleep when the TV's not on.. guess I'm too dependent already..

Good luck to all for the holidays in whatever y'all are doing. (be it job-seeking, job-doing, mugging for the next semester, etc)
Adios!

I Am Happy
(I meant it literally. If you know what I mean. heh..)

yes.. I'm very happy that the exams are over.. haven't had a decent nite's sleep since they whole series of torturing papers occurred one by one. draining my very life force out of me. so finally last night.. I am able to sleep as sound as a dead PIG. yea.. except for my snoring that is...

cell tech paper was ok.. except for some super tricky T/F questions which I was too quick in answering so I didn't read the sentence properly. well a few marks gone for that mistake. as for SAQ, what can I say? Ng Ng Ng... the only lecturer in the world whom I know can cast the spell ultimatus-boringus to a WHOLE lecture theatre AT ONCE.
amazin huh.

yea.. for his question in the SAQ, it was what everyone called it un-understandable. for me I didn't know what on earth is supposed to be in those text boxes. according to Cam. the diagram did appear in Scale Up 5. which I had so conveniently misplaced. ah well.. what's done is done. nothing left to complain about. as for now...

Total Relaxation!!

yes.. relaxing and catching up on life since I've been burying myself in books (and games) during that 1.5 weeks. this holiday will be more of a relaxing one. that's if I don't go get a job. my mom's been pressing me to do so.. but I shall take things as it is.

cant wait for chalet to come! I'm sure its gonna be so much fun. No bbq this time though.. but we will be attempting to cook the largest pot of pasta ever.. hahaz. better call the Guiness Record personnel to come over.

as for now. I'm gonna focus on training my Sorceress. yep. the grp of us are playnig Diablo II now. kinda fun la especially when you play in a grp. we got all the different characters already.. heh. like arden's an amazon, cam's a necromancer, chris a druid, blah blah... shan't go on already. haha. I'm still so noob at the game.. never played before last time cos I thot it was scary with all the monsters and zombies and stuff. heh

I'm off to bathe now and its more D2 later!! hahaz.. wanna get my sorceress strong. yea

ho ho ho.

just finished a game of X Hero Siege with cam, clement, chris and jason.. hahaz.. very long never play liao.. but still very fun!! I chose lucy and a summoner.. his creeps are really amazing.. hahaz.. can summon 2 bears 4 wolves and 2 eagles at one time.. scary!

hahaz.. we played for a whole 2hr 10mins. not the longest game I had but still was as fun as ever. this new version is somewhat better.. at least Arthas isn't so gay now.. his invulnerability doesn't last THAT long.. heh.. this allowed us to kill him almost instantly.. hahaha..

gotta go sleepie sleepie now.. tomorrow gotta go school ask Del qns!! Think Think Think!

once cell tech's over Its total freedom and wreakage of havoc.. heeheehee

Praise the Lord!

Thk God that the paper I feared most turned out to be easy!!! almost everything I studied came out.. only sad that I couldn't remember EVERYTHING that I was suppose to.. resulting in a loss of marks here and there.. yea.. especially the question on the dissecting microscope which I had read many times and Skakeila even asked me abt it!! how could I forget.. dammit...

I hate myself for being so forgetful sometimes.. same goes with the HPLC qn.. couldn't remember the principle on the Evaporative Light Scattering and the Refractive Index Detectors although I could list them out.. guess listing only gets me 2 marks...

enough about that... ITS FINALLY GOING TO BE OVER... I've been waiting in pain and sorrow for that day since the exams started.. lol.. and its finally coming!

some reflections.. haven't really been putting a 100% into this exam.. as compared to previous one.. Guess I've been too slack the whole semester and I can't adapt to it within such a short period.. hopefully next semester will be better..

now we're left with cell tech. the FeFe module! hahaz.. hope to get a B la.. didn't do too well with the second test already.. thx to Ng Chee Wei and his amazingly one-of-a-kind-lullaby lectures..
HEY THX MAN

other than that. nothing much so say liao.. today I will probably slack somemore.. wun study until tomorrow.. until then.. buaiz!

HBD paper.. the SAQ was 10X easier than what I expected but the mcq were 100X more difficult than my expectations too...

DAMMIT

so much about being the mcq whiz-kid eh? ah wth.. no time to worry about that now... ABC's two days later... *goes into deep thought*

NOOOOO~
*foams at the mouth at the thought of retaking ABC*

its my most dreaded module btw.. got the worst grades for common test for this... got to really mug a lot of her notes..

btw.. today tried a lot of new things.. including a new X Hero Siege Map.. which was quite ok.. NOT considering the fact that the bloody internet connection kept going off.. its making everyone frustrated.. for those who know me.. you will know what internet provider it is.. for those who don't.. well.. let's just say I dun wanna be charged in court... lol

off to dinner now.. zzz maybe play a bit later.. but I'm not really in the mood rite now.. guess I'll take things as it goes..

~ 8:24 PM ~
I've just come to realise how much a normal conversation can be manipulated just by having more in depth knowledge of the human body..

Normal Conversation
Son: Mom! I want scrambled eggs for breakfast!
Mom: Right after I finish watering my orchids!
Son: Ok then I shall go pack my bag first.

Conversation after going through HBD
Son: Mom! I wan scrambled OOs for breakfast!
Mom: Right afterI finish watering my testes!
Son: Ok then I shall go pack my scrotum first.

ok I may sound lame here.. but my point is... sometimes things are better left as simple as they are..

~ 5:17 PM ~
I'm finished!

Gone!

Ruined!

Destroyed!

Exterminated!

In other words.. I'm dead.

HOLY MACARONI WITH CHEESE ON IT

I've got less than two days to the HBD paper and yet I haven't started on anything.. guess I'm feeling too easy just because the mcq takes up 60% of the paper.. I've always done well in mcqs I guess.. I mean with 'tikam-ing' of cos.. however I do not dare face the short answers.. I'll probably just study the second book for short answers..

I suppose the bulk will come from the second book.. hopefully my speculations are correct this time.. unlike with the MBT paper.. dammit.. I stilll haven got over it..

heh.. guess I'll start mugging only after lunch.

~ 7:03 PM ~
ok.. this new one's finally up... hope there's no more problems with it.. kinda like this one.. lol

anyway.. more about today.. MBT... I really got no comments about it.. I like made the effort to go school as early as nine to chiong whatever tips DY and rayson got.. especially the tutorial notes.. and guess wat..

NOT A SINGLE TOPIC I STUDIED CAME OUT

yes.. im kinda pissed off by that.. even a topic I deemed 'neglectable' such as PCR came out for a short answer.. whearas a topic I labelled 'fukin impt' such as marker rescue came out only as a single question in the mcq.. Even tRNA which I have so conveniently neglected came out.. wtf.. I could only remember 3 out of the 5 arms.. dammit.. I haf the terrible urge to tear the lecturer into shreds.. you know who I mean... trying to do me in? try next time u ****************************** Thank God I do have certain foundations in the topics covered.. I managed to answer as much as possible. and I do have the confidence of passing.. but as to getting that 'B' which I so crave.. it seems impossible now...

it makes me mad that all that time I spent studying on "topics-that-were-most-likely-to-come-out" were spent for nothing... oh well.. guess fate likes to play around with people sometimes.. me and DY almost vomitted when we saw the questions.. If only I had not been so slack and studied more.. I would certainly have bagged that B..

enuf abt crappin.. I can finally take a VERY VERY SHORT break today.. relax a little and something.. cos the next paper is on monday.. got the weekend to digest everything in HBD.. thk god for that too..

off to dinner now.. byeeeee

Pasta Cafe: The ultimate experience!

oh yes.. Finally I have the chance to go to pasta cafe and taste the legendary kongpau pizza and nikomi hamburg steak! man.. I sure as hell didn't regret forgoing breakfast and lunch just to save up for there! the food was simply delicious.. appetizers were great and the steak.. oooo the steak.. it was heavenly.. I can't even believe arden can't finish such a wonderful delight.. I regret not taking the picture of it.. but then again.. I dun wanna make everyone drool.. lol.. me and arden had a nikomi each.. AND.. sharing another beef lasagne.. which was also cooked to satisfaction.. the sauce wasn't too salty.. unlike.. well I shan't mention names now.. but it was nice!! oh yea.. I forgot to mention the ceasar salad.. simple yet lips smacking, with the cheese on its as great as ever.. and err... oh ya the pizzas!! the kongpau pizza was as legendary as legendary can be.. lol.. the sauce IS INDEED pleasing to my taste buds.

for the rest of the guys.. well I can only remember cam and rayson having some pasta which was curry flavoured?? lol.. and.. clement had the beef lasagne, Josephine had some mushroom cheese pasta which was ALSO NICE.. (I tasted the sauce), Chris had some caborana pasta? And I seriously forgot what Ian had.. (after a reminder from chris.. it was the Fet with Slipper Lobster!) haha.. but I guess it was some kinda pasta too.. after that.. some of them ordered milkshakes.. which I didn't cos I wanna save space for my dessert..: BLUEBERRY DESIRE.. GODZ.. even the names sounds heavenly.. haha.. Ian ordered mocha cup and clement had a Rum/Raisin singlescoop.. hahaz.. guess we were all stuffed after that.. went around north point once just to get all the food in.. and played a few games at the arcade too :P Well.. after that it was home to report and..

The Mocha Cup that Ian ordered.. he was kinda shocked by the size when it came.. imagine that.. hahaz in the end cam had to help finish it! Look at all that cream too!

MY BLUEBERY DESIRE.. WAHAHAHAHA.. doesn't it look juz simply scrumptous? BackGround: Ian trying to demolish his towering mocha cup. lol!

After all that eating...

Group Photos!! Notice the hand signals below.. haha.. its 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 from me to rayson..
